BARRO is an Argentine contemporary art gallery founded in 2014 in Buenos Aires. BARRO is committed to positioning and promoting work by Argentine artists, residing both in the country and abroad.
The gallery s located in the traditional port district of La Boca, and its exhibition space occupies an industrial warehouse of over 500 square meters. The gallery produces four exhibitions per year in its gallery, in addition to supporting and developing its artists' projects in other spaces and institutions, such as the Whitney Museum Biennial, the Sydney Biennial, and theBiennale di Venezia.
BARRO has built a significant international presence through sustained participation in fairs such as: Art Basel (Basel), Art Basel Miami Beach (Miami), Frieze New York (New York), Fiac (Paris), Art Dubai (Dubai), Contemporary Istanbul (Istanbul), The Armory Show (New York), ARCO (Madrid), artBO (Bogotá), Proyectos LA (Los Angeles), and Arteba (Buenos Aires).
Since its founding, the gallery has focused its programing on multidisciplinary proposals and the creation of connections, both within the Argentine and international scenes, to foster critical dialogue and the development of new audiences.
